Most citizens wanting a real ‘say’ in local government are limited to a ballot evey couple of years, the occasional work-shop or survey and, if you can spare the entire evening, waiting in line for a 3-minute podium appearance at a commission, council or supervisors meeting.
That is not good enough. Not in the 21st Century.
Forum Co-op exists to augment this antiquated, Top Down civic engagement system by creating a Bottom Up, Non-Partisan and Citizen-Owned Digital Citizen Utility to enable Verified Voters access to education, deliberation, collaboration, polling and the petitioning-of-government around local Issues of Concern.
The Co-op is currently building out this Utility by integrating Decentralized Identity Engagement, Deliberation & Decision Technology and Data-Trust Fiduciary Responsibility.
Forum expects to app-deliver this robust Utility by mid-2026 when the Co-op formally on-boards Member-Patrons to one of Two Citizen Cohorts:
Precinct-Verified Registered Voters (Think: Neighborhood, City or County residents)
Self-Governing Organizations (Think: HOA or Food Co-op).
Regardless of cohort, benefits for a Forum Member-Patrons will include:
Self-Sovereign ID & Data Control
End-to-End Verified Deliberation, Poll & Petition Access
Co-op Governance Voting Rights & Profit Sharing
Currently, Forum is ramping up its Beta PRECINCT VOTER FORUM on Bainbridge Island, Washington to give participating Islanders a secure and data-protected digital place to collectively power-up their voting franchise.
The Co-op intends to integrate the collective lessons learned on Bainbridge Island to inform it 2026 roll-out of a Precinct Forum template for use by any public sector community of voters who choose to support it.
